 Doncaster, England: Eating a banana for dinner could be the key to good sleep, according to Sleep Charity, a sleep health training and support organization.

The institute says that the high levels of magnesium and potassium in bananas, in particular, help relax muscles, leading to better sleep.



Bananas also contain the amino acid tryptophan, which stimulates the production of hormones that calm the mind. Certain fruits also stimulate the production of melatonin, a hormone 


Research published in a special issue of Antioxidants in Health Sciences and Diseases identified grapes, tart cherries, and strawberries as the best sources of melatonin.
